Roger Owens now contributing editor

By Moristotle

We were delighted that Roger Owens agreed immediately to our request that he serve not just as a columnist but also as a contributing editor. With his agreement lightening our spirits, we moved his sidebar blurb up a few inches, to rest among those of veterans Geoffrey Dean, James Knudsen, Jonathan Price, and Ed Rogers:

Contributing Editors

Geoffrey Dean. Now living in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota, after two years in Salt Lake City, Utah, following almost twenty-five years in Bulgaria, where he was a founding music faculty member at the American University in Bulgaria and the cellist of the Sofia Quartet and the Ardenza Trio.

James Knudsen. The Loneliest Liberal. Despite voting for Barack Obama twice, being a registered Democrat, actor, educator, yada yada yada – there are things that put him on the fringe. He’s a US Marine (current Commandant General Amos sent out a memo: Can’t say “former”) and a gun-owner. He likes to watch NASCAR but hates the hillbilly patriotism. “So what’s a fella to do?

Roger Owens. An old hippie surfer boy from Brevard County, Florida, a businessman who studied psychology and literature and loves to travel, fish, and read. His hobbies include politics and writing. His novella with some real characters, Dancing at the Driftwood Hotel, was published through Amazon in September 2017.

Jonathan Price. An emeritus professor of American Literature, has taught courses in literature and contemporary film both in California and abroad, including Portugal, Thailand, and Italy. Last year he published through Amazon In the Nick of Time, a collection of his film reviews, and is now seeking a mainstream publisher for a memoir of his two Fulbright teaching fellowships abroad.

Ed Rogers. With his wife, Janie, now back in the States after four years in Costa Rica. Ed’s books Boystown: The Cocaine Highway & Boystown: The Return were published while they were in Costa Rica. Now settled again in Mississippi, Ed has published the political thriller Unwanted President, a collection of stories titled Tadpole Creek & Other Stories: Children of the Soil, and the novel Finsoup, about the despicable practice of shark finning. All of these books are available from Amazon. His latest completed novel, tentatively titled “Serial Killer,” is in editing, and he is at work on its sequel, set on an island in the Caribbean off the coast of Honduras.
The next installment of ”Roger’s Reality – The Jasper Chronicles” will appear tomorrow, to the undoubted delight of his many fans.
