  1. Several possible meanings of "eloquent" attach to Susan's expression through art. It is fluent, it has great power, it is forceful – even though I cannot say what it expresses or what it articulates, or whether it attempts to express or articulate anything. Somehow, the expressiveness of Susan's art flows and engages my own wordless expressiveness, and I like the feeling of that.

  2. I find the picture of the alarming face, streaked with stark, bright colors for war(?) or a ceremonial dance, powerful.
    What primitive ceremony, that is taking place today, are we witnessing?
    What current emotions are so stark that they need to be expressed in old tribal forms?
