Three paintings in three days by Shirley Deane/Midyett

Detail of third painting
Water & boats & trees

By Vic Midyett

Shirley did these three paintings in three days this week.
The first one (below) is from a pic I took on Magnetic Island off Queensland some years ago. We took an hour boat ride to it and spent a lovely day there.
Magnetic Island (5" x 7")
The next is another pic I took at Australind estuary, Western Australia. The boats were not in the photo, but Shirley wanted them.
Australind Estuary (8" x 10")
The final painting is of a tree we found on a university campus. The little gray things look a little like birds, but they are the tree’s seeds. They were about half an inch or five/eights of an inch big, no more. We had never seen such a seed, or tree, before and couldn’t find anyone to ask about it.
