By Moristotle

I moderated a slab of spam this morning that could serve for breakfast. Here it is, minus its link to whatever:

  1. What? You were expecting appropriate, even adequate grammar on the Internet? Didn't you get the memo that Memes now are required (before being allowed to pass the FB censors) contain at least one grammatical error per Meme. Zero tolerance for offenders!

  2. Technically not sure if your example (eg) would be called spam. If its author was a comic, I might be willing to consider it ham.

I cut a lot of slack with folks who obviously have English as a second language. For example a lot of us are in contact with people in the Middle East, Syria, and Venezuela. I greatly respect the conversations of native speakers in these troubled areas. Give me one real person over the corporate talking heads any day. "You don't have to be a reporter to cover Venezuela. All you have to do is step out into the street." Greg Palast (Award winning reporter no one in the MSM has ever heard about)

  3. Bob, I appreciate your additions to the fun, and also your commendation for deserving people for whom English is a second language. But the comment I judged to be spam was almost certainly and with not a sliver of doubt spam. The post it was a comment on was ancient and in no way merited the praise. And, don't forget, along with that praise was a link to whatever the commenter (whatever his original language or provenance) was hawking.
