They are, simply put, just a couple of old lovers,[Thank you, Elton John.]
Who're blessed that over them a good spirit hovers
To keep them laughing like children
That they continually will then
Be still rolling like thunder under the covers.

mazel tov mobro :-), you are about the only couple we know that beats us!! at 26 years, and counting and when the Padres (his) beat the Dodgers (mine), i'm REALLY counting :-(
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the long lasting enjoyment. May you spend another 40 together.
ReplyDeletePeace Morris,
ReplyDeleteThis is really late, but congrats! Next is a series of posts on how you managed that beautiful longevity...with the divorce rates so high and marital bonds so flimsy its indeed rare to come across people who have lasted so long. (pardon my cynicism.)
I wish you many more blessed and happy years together.
I think our secret, Maliha, is that we didn't exactly "manage" it! There were some falls along the way. I guess we survived them and persevered to our "ripe old" status by being forgiving and understanding....
