Goines On: The morning after

Goines’ first impulse upon waking from a sleep whose soundness was only interrupted a few times by a need to urinate is to check for news of last night’s “debate,” but he successfully resists until after he has prepared Mrs. Goines’ fruit and their coffee.
The news is that “debate” definitely needs to be put in quotation marks.

Biden fended the maniac off fairly well, despite the failure of the moderator (Chris Wallace) to do much to shut down Trump’s repeated interruptions and jibes. Goines’ impression this morning is that Biden might do well to refuse another such confrontation.
But, then, he might do better to go ahead, only next time completely ignore Trump and address only the viewing audience. Not “You're the worst president ever,” but “Donald Trump is the worst president this nation has ever had, a disgrace, a menace....I didn’t come here tonight to debate him. He doesn’t know how to debate. He has no interest in debating. So, I came to address the American people directly....”
Whatever you decide to do (Goines addresses Mr. Biden), good luck, Joe!

  1. The debate was a colossal failure but it's exactly as I thought it would be. There are those that think Trump was brilliant and believe he actually gave them lots of valuable information. I wonder, what planet are they from?
