Valentine’s Day (a poem)
By Roger Owens
The worst ever Valentine’s Day
No matter how you spend it
Is to have yourself a Valentine
But have nowhere to send it
Roger, I’m thankful to Delta Airlines’ free Wi-Fi for making it possible for me to post your poignant poem on a Valentine’s Day that for me is also a travel day. Your “Valentine’s Day” poem is a reminder how sad certain days (maybe all days) can be following the loss of a life’s companion.
