Today Atmosphere Press published Michael Hanson’s novel, Nate’s New Age. Atmosphere’s website describes the book as
Darkly comic and fast-paced...A 28-year-old skydiving instructor searches for – and avoids – meaning in his life through substance-abuse and sexual adventure. His most controlled moments are jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet. Nate knows it is time to plant his feet on solid ground. Will he make changes, or has he become addicted to the plunge? And Michael comments that this publication is “A moment 33 years in the making.” As in he tried to get his first novel published in 1987, but couldn’t...and couldn’t get any of his subsequent novels published either...until Nate’s New Age.
Congratulations, Michael! And thank you for having joined our group of Moristotelian authors some years ago by allowing me to excerpt from some of those intervening novels. You are appreciated!
Michael informs me that Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill is carrying the book. (Here’s its entry on their website.)
Good going Michael and good luck with the new book.
