Recently someone wrote me that he had received an email notification of a comment and he wanted to respond to it, "But now, after an avid search, I can't find the comment on the blog. How do I find it?"
Good question, one that others may have asked themselves. That's why I'm writing this post.
In general, for any post, to see all its comments, go to the post's specific address and scroll down to below the post, where all comments, if any, are displayed.
I can think of at least five ways to get to a post's specific address:
- An easy way to get to the specific address of a recent post is to go to the blog's general address (http://moristotle.blogspot.com) and scroll down until you see the post, then click on its title. (Conversely, to get back to the blog's general address, click on "Moristotle & Co." in the masthead; the title is a link!)
- Another way to get to a specific post page is to find the post's title in the Archive index (in the sidebar) and click on it (the title is a link!). The archive is organized by most recent first, with posts categorized by months within years.
- Another way: if the post is listed among the "Popular Posts" (above the archive index), click on its entry, which is also a link.
- Yet another: If you know the post is from a regular column (such as "Sunday Review"), click on that column's name (it's a link!) under "Regular Columns" (near the top of the sidebar), then scroll down in the list of posts now displayed in the main column until you find the post, then click on its title.
- And, easiest of all, if you have an email notification such as the one my inquirer received, it contains a link to the post! Just click on it.
